Does the location where the plant is grown influence the flower essence? Yes. Flowers in Alaska have to go through their whole cycle in as little as 30 days. Flowers in the desert have to survive on the smallest amounts of water. These kinds of influences significantly impact the qualities of the flower essence.

What are the qualities of flower essences from Kauai flowers? The Garden Island of Kaua`i has a quality that makes the plants some of the most powerful on Earth. The place is alive with energy with roots back through the ancient Hawaiians to Lemuria. The unique flowers grown in ideal water and sun-drenched air where some plants and trees flower all year long. This creates soft, loving and gentle qualities.

I wanted to share some thoughts about why I created the Kauai Remedies from a combination of flower and gem essences.  In short, it is my experience that combining the two kingdoms, plant and mineral, result in a more thorough spectrum of energies to work on a particular condition.

Some feel that gem essences generally effect the body, mind and spirit. Although flower essences address the same areas, gem essences effect the physical body more than flower essences.  In my practice, I do "energy readings" in order to open myself to a higher guidance which assists me in determining which essence would be most helpful for an individual.  Over the years the remedies I channel show an over lapping of flower and gem essences that have similar qualities.  They seem to result in a more complete healing of the underlying condition being addressed.

There are often small differences in the effects of similar propertied gem essences and flower essences that appear to be significant in addressing a more holistic remedy.  Here is an example of two essences offering more together than individually.  False Lilac flower essence from Koke`e, Kaua`i addresses cleansing the will and dissolving energy blocking personal power.  The inspiration and tranquility from purple amethyst gem essence empowers the soul force which empowers one to strengthen the will to break unwanted old habits.  The combination results in more grounded personal power.
